I have a 30 minute AVI - Audio Format is MPEG Layer 3 & the Video compression is XVid. I use the program "DivX To DVD " to encode & have never had a sync problem. The file seems to go out of sync gradually as the file plays. There is nothing wrong with the original AVI file & there is NO pixelation.
I have heard you can use Virtual Dub to fix this problem but do not know how although I am familiar with the program.
Can someone please advise what sync fix options I have ???
Thanks,

You can try
In virtualdub select,
Audio->full processing to convert audio to uncompressed wav
Video->direct stream copy to just copy the video
File->save as to make a new avi with wav/pcm audio.
Then convert the new avi with divxtodvd. -

What version did you try of 'divxtodvd'/ ConvertXtoDVD?
The version 2.0.9 added a new function to try and fix audio sync, I mentioned it on another thread, here but maybe all you need is a version update?
The 2.0.9 fixes some cases of audio sync but not all of them (you calculate audio delay, insert the number and reconvert, you may need a few explanations as it is not obvious) let me know if you have already tried it out or not
