, seeing as nothing much was happening here I did a google and came up with that site

nothing will be as bad as Dasani. I thought they didn't sell it anymore but the site is still there

    http://www.dasani.com/flash.htm

I was watching Tonight with Trevor MacDonald tonight and they were talking about Coca Cola and it's effect on health and that people are boycotting it. I wan't really watching it but they had a Coca Cola person on talking about Dasani but she it sounded like she was talking crap by the sounds of things saying they listened to consumer demand and withdrew Dasani. Nothing to do with the fact it was supposedly tap water?

a lot of bottled water was proven to be less pure than much of the average tap water -- in terms of bacteria and such ...

yet another puzzle as to why people buy the stuff?

some of it costs more than petrol doesn't it?

the Only Fools & Horses episode about them selling water was classic

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/comedy/onlyfools/christmas/1992.shtm

Peckham Spring Water - Mother Nature's Son (1992)
Del's Spiel: 'Peckham Spring water, from a natural and ancient source.'

The Real Deal: 'Well its from the Thames, you can't get more ancient and natural than that!'

At Del and Rodney are strapped for Christmas cash. To make matters worse, while Cassandra finally has her promotion, Raquel is suffering from post-natal depression.

Rodney is concerned that Del has lost his drive. When confronted, Derek explains that on top of his woes, the council have approved his application to buy their flat in Nelson Mendela House, doubling the rent. On top of that, Grandad's allotment has become a health hazard and he has to clear it.

Raquel & DamienWhile clearing the allotment Del discovers several barrels of yellow liquid. Enlisting Trigger and Denzil, they are disposed of during the night.

Finally spotting a gap in the market, Del decides to bottle tap water and sell it as Peckham Spring Water.

Back in the money both couples enjoy a romantic evening... until they see a news flash about a major water contamination, caused by Del's barrels.

Here in Vegas people drink Dasani because its cheap and it doesn't have sand in it. You drink the tap water here and you're definitely getting sand in your diet. Also there was a big thing about a year ago where they urged people not to drink tap water because the pollution levels were over a certain level. They're back to normal, but I couldn't stand the water in the first place. We usually buy Arrowhead spring water.

Pepsi Blue is dead here in the US. It has gone the way of CokeII & Crystal Pepsi. If you drank more than 4-6 bottles of Pepsi Blue in a day, your stools turned bluish-green.

Crystal Pepsi was kind of neat. It was like they mixed sierra mist and pepsi. Had a citrisy taste to it. Not that bad for a "new flavor".

don't they just say that because the water companies have shares in Dasani and others?

I remember one year while on a Greek island someone put petrol into the water supply and bottled water was a must

and another time on the same island I got lost and I ended up drinking water out of an oil drum that the cows drink out of! There was all sorts of crap in there but it was over 40C and I'd been in the sun for hours so I couldn't care less

    I would bet so.

One hot day we gave the new kid on the crew some money and told him to come back with drinks for everyone. He asked what we wanted, but we kind of told him that it was his pick being he was going, and to just get whatever he liked.

Well he came back with like three cases of this store brand orange drink! And I do mean the cheap stuff! Well, he did get ice and a foam cooler and cups and three cases of orange drinks for 10 bucks. At first it was good because we were hot and it was cold. But after about six or ten of those out in the hot sun, we were ready to die! I think that someone did get sick out back and the rest of us (except the new kid) were feeling pretty bad. I must have passed orange water and turds for two days after that!

Our next trip to the store was for a large water cooler and a couple of bags of ice. I can't even stand the smell of oranges sometimes now.
IS IT SUPPOSED TO SMOKE LIKE THAT?

Very True. The blue dye in the bottle is pretty strong. If you can still find Pepsi Blue, try it out for yourself.
