  1. I tried to convert the AVI file to MPG (compatible DVD format using CCE) but I ended up with a MPV file (with no audio, I guess it's correct), but with a WAV file that has no audio but prolongs to the end time of the AVI file..
Is this correct? or is it wrong?

the mpv file is the video stream. If you asked for audio, and CCE was able to decode the audio in the avi, you should have an mpa or mp2 file with the audio in it. CCE's audio abilities are pretty average, so you are better off doing your audio elsewhere. I would suggest demuxing the audio in VDM, then using ffmpeggui to encode it to AC3.

Select 'Program Stream' instead of 'Elementary Stream' and you will get video and audio in one mpeg2 file.

Are you talking about VDM or CCE? Coz' I don't have that in CCE
and in VDM, I've to demux the audio separately from the AVI file to what format?? The Audio format in the AVI file is MP3

I have CCE Basic but I have no experience with CCE SP. However, in CCE Basic, after dropping the avi file into CCE, double click on the file and a GUI will open up, in the area named Video Setting you can choose either Elementary Stream or Program Stream, choose Program Stream.

I am sure this option exists in CCE SP as well and I would be you could find out how by going to the Cinema Craft website.
