Hi everybody. I've been going through the archives trying to find an answer but I can't come up with one. I hope you all can help.
I've got a VHS/DVD Sony RDR-VX500. I'm transferring all my old VHS tapes to DVD. What I want to do is edit them once I've got them on DVD by bringing them into Final Cut Pro on my Mac. Problem is no files are showing up on the burned DVDs because Sony uses some crazy proprietary filetypes, I guess. Is there any way to see and then extract these files to get them into Final Cut? I'm on a Mac, so I can't use Isobuster, which from what I've been reading here is the kind of thing I need.
Sony cust service tells me no I can't do it, but I'm hoping someone here has done it or can advise me on what to do.
Thanks for your help,
Jennie
