    How can I set the outline value for subtitle stream manually in ConvertXtoDVD? Can't find any option for that.

    Don't think you can. One-click-wonders are easy to use and cheap to buy because they don't have all the features and controls that real authoring programs have.

    so what is the easy way to handle this?

    I tried txt2vobsub to generate idx/sub from srt file but the idx/sub seems delayed slightly. don't know why. Is there any other appz that can convert srt to idx/sub to the extent of srt2bmp that converts srt to xsub?

    DVD Lab Pro can import srt format subs and gives you full control over how they appear.
