$2.00 a disc is not much of a deal for me.

I can't walk into a store and buy the style and type of media i use but this thread is about Verbatim DL+.
I don't use DL+ enough to make a 100 or 1000 disc order worthwhile & ordering a 10 pack for $25.00 online and then sending in a rebate to get them for $17.00 does not save any $$ as far as i'm concerned, messing with a rebate, stamp, time ect.
Takes me 5 minutes to stop in the parking lot as i'm driving past, walk in and pick a pack up off the shelf and walk through the register & done.
So where is the deal as stated in my OP
Show me someplace where i can order them for say $1.00 or less each then yeah, that's a deal -
Actually my last 5 or 6 purchases at Best Buy have not happened at a cash register. Two of them happened in the store, but because the product wasn't available there I used their in store online computer to order the product. Talk about inconvenience. I could have done that without leaving my home.
The OP in this thread is to an online sales link anyways. -

I've been buying these and I'm happy ... I bought the Ridata ones and I sent them back.
I bought 4 packs of the Ten Packs ... recently for $20 bucks each ... I haven't opened them up yet. I do know they work because back in November Best Buy had the same sale ... and I bought two packs.
I was aware last Sunday morning about this sale and they were there on the shelf ... but didn't need to get any ... -

And the OP link is just to the item on their web page, it's in the weekly add as a walk in not exclusive to just online sale's, page 8 -

At that time in ... December 2005 ... I had two DVD DL burners ... the Pioneer 109 and the Panasonic 9585 ... I now have the Lite-On (the model Walmart sells) [that I take with me to work in a external USB 2.0 enclosure and in last few weeks the Plextor PX-740A [I got it on Ebay for $66 bucks ... postage ... hmmm ... probably around $20 bucks.] Bestbuy sells it for over a $100 bucks ... so I did well on Ebay.

The method for the Verbatims ... went well ... so I bought some Ridata/Riteks .... and total SNAFU ... I sent them back. And used the in store credit to buy two External USB 2.0 hard drive enclosures. -
Yep, never had a problem with verbatim's yet.
If it's not broke don't fix it -
Nothing against Verbatim's, I love'em, but I use Ritek's all the time without issue. This is on assorted drives from BenQ, Samsung, NEC, Pioneer, lite-Ons, Sony, etc.
-
I figure if I'm gonna spend the $2/disc, I'll stick with my trusty verbatims. It's the only brand I use for all media (+R=MCC & +RDL=MKM Codes) on my Benq 1620.

For the most part I need a cheap and reliable way to test burners before I sell them. Ritek's in bulk fill this niche nicely. Personally, I like verbatims and our local Best Buy is always out of stock on them. I've told the store manager several times about this and I keep hearing that they can't keep them in stock. That should attest to verbatims reliability and also the incompetence of the supply/demand system at best buy.

Even though this sounds like a lot of time on the Freeways ... it's cool because if I get home too quick ... my wife wont give me any attention ... because she is shopping on ... QVC ...
