Hey guys, I'm using TMPGEnc DVD Author to cut & edit a DVD which works OK. However, in the "edit" screen where I select the start frame and end frame I don't get any sound. Am I supposed to?

I'm editing a music DVD and it's often difficult to tell when one clip has ended and another begun.

If I create the DVD all the audio works fine, but I don't get any sound in the "edit & cut" section.

I'm using the "Add DVD video" and editing from that.

There's an icon of a speaker next to the pause/play buttons but it's greyed out. Can't press it.

    Hope that all made sense?

  2. I believe you'll need to purchase the AC3 plug-in to hear anything other than MPEG layer 2 sound in the preview window.

    Or WAV...

If the audio is AC3 (easily checked with GSpot v2.52 beta) then TDA doesn't play it, but will include it when authoring so that the final DVD has AC3 sound.

OK, so I need the AC3 plugin. That explains it. Thanks a lot.
