Being my first post here, I should say thank you for the privilege and hello, all.![]()
I have 24 avi files [Divx5.0] on a dvd disk. They play fine with none of the sync problems, etc. All are sharp and clear.
The problem is that the player won't play just one. I tried putting each one in it's own folder and it doesn't do any good. After playing each avi, the player starts playing the next one. Is there a way to have it play just one and not advance to the next one?
I've read and searched but I don't seem to be able to find an answer. Ty for any help.![]()

No, that is the way the player is designed to work. Some players have a setting to change this in the setup menu, but not the 642.

Go to page 22, DVP642 Manual. There is a pretty detailed instruction on how to program playback. Although only DVD, VCD and CD are mentioned, I believe it's applicable to AVI.

Thank you. I can start playback from any avi file on the disk and from anywhere within that file. It still advances to the next file on completion.
