First of all i havent been on here for a while, and ihave noticed that the forum as changed a little since the last time i was. Therefore i wasnt exactly sure where this post should end up.

Background info:
i hade to reformate my hard drive.. So i lost all my software. The shop i went to updated my NERO to the newest verison out. That idea i love.

I upgraded my DVD SHRINK also, cause when i downloaded it, it only gave me the latest verison of it.. again i dont mind having the latest verison of software.

I know that my DVD burner does work, cause i have burned a couple dvds since i have gotten it back..

HERE is my problem - finally:

When DVD SHRINK is done, it tells me to automatically put in the blank dvd, so i do. Then it is suppose to rip my dvd.
--> however for some reason, when i burn a dvd using a (memorex 8x) it works, but when i ( use memorex dvd-R 16x) i get a burn failure, and all it does is just eject my blank out...

so do i try to down grade my dvd shrink? or anyone else got an idea... i want to burn using the 16x, cause thats why i brought it... but now it wont

You may need to upgrade the firmware of your burner so that is properly recognizes the new media.

It could also be a media issue, not all media works properly in all burners.

It could also abe an issue with Nero, if they upgraded you to Nero 7, there could be a bug or conflict. If they upgraded you to the latest version of 6, it should be OK. I have also seen a few posts that seem to indicate the very latest update for 6 has issues (6.x.x.16 I think).
