Incredibly susceptible to scratches. Is there any way to get the scratches on the screen out?

Don't know if there's any in your area but Meguiar's Plastic Polish is also gentle. I used to use it on my helmet face shield.

I'm using a clear hard case that protects the screen. Of course, I have to polish the scratches out of the case, right?

Yup join a lawsuit that will make lawyers rich, Dastardly Apple should have used a diamond coated screen for durability.

iPod screens are probably never going to be scratch resistant. Hell, I didnt touch mine for a week and it spontaneously scratched itself! The best you can do is minimize scratching. I use a hard plastic protective case, which itself gets scratched. I'd rather replace it for $15 than the iPod itself for $400. Although if they ever come out with a widescreen iPod, I'll be forking over for that one too, scratching or no.

  9. My take on it is that any screen will either be scratchable or breakable or both. I Worked on many Ipods here some were scratched and many were not. Mini, original 10Gb through Photo Ipods and the read and black ones signed by the band. A few Photo Ipods had cracked screens, it may be that the color display is more delicate.

Some had minor scratches many had no scratches and some had deeper scratches.

And then there was the one that looked like it was used to drive nails.

An Ipod like a Laptop computer is a delicate precision item and needs to be treated as such.
