I'm using the Pocket HDTV from http://www.inventa.com.au. It's a nice looking slimline, external tuner, but I'm having a few issues. The MPGs I save play jerkily on most viewers and video editors. I wondered is this was common with TV tuners? I can't use the MPGs with my video editor (VideoCharge) and instead have to resave them as MPGs with some other software I found, before they will work with VideoCharge.

The device comes with a BDA driver, which the manual says should allow it to work with other TV software. I tried getting it to work with Meedio and TV Plus 4 Gold, but neither recognised the device.

The bundled software is ok, but it has some nuisance bugs and crashes every so often. I also find the reception is sometimes glitchy, which seems to coincide with the most simple of things such as moving the mouse around. I'm using a Pentium M 1.7Ghz laptop which should be ok.

I read it's common for TV tuners to sometimes only work with the bundled software, but what about the rest, like the MPG playback problems and the reception glitches?

If I get a refund, what would you recommend as a mid-level USB digital TV tuner, that's also travel sized and stylish?
