Choppy DVD playback (Magix Movie Edit Pro 10)
The DVD movies that I’ve made are marginal at best due to choppy playback. I’m using Magix’s Movie Edit Pro 10 and Verbatim “Lightscribe” DVD+R; computer is a HP 7160 (Pentium D w/dual core processor, 250 GB drive, 1 GB memory). No playback problems with the individual clips downloaded to the computer from the mini-DV using Media Player.
However, once I compile and burn to the DVD with Movie Edit Pro, it appears that a few frames are either skipped or deleted during playback. The choppiness doesn’t happen for every clip or scene. It’s most pronounced in the clips containing motion, either panning the camera or moving objects. Different bit rates and Sony DVD-R’s produced the same results.
For comparison sake and trying to eliminate some of the variables, I burned a DVD (Sony DVD-R) using the Sonic software that was loaded on the computer. No problem – DVD plays fine.
DVD player is a Broksonic Model 810, 3 yrs old.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Be sure to use NTSC in magix if your miniDV is NTSC.
If that wont help I would try something else thatn magix, several all-in-one dvd converters out there: https://www.videohelp.com/tools?s=35#35
