Thanks in advance for your help.

I bought a DVD player which is Divx compatible. I have downloaded few Indian video songs from net which is of format wmv or real media. If I burn them on DVD media and play the DVD player doesnt recongnise. If I burn avi files it does recognise.

Is there a way I can play these wmv files and real media files ?? I tried to convert wmv to avi files from SUPER tool and when I hit "Encode now" button it keeps on encoding for ever. I use the default options.

Can any one help me if there is any other way I can play these wmv files in Divx DVD player ??

Using super to convert wmv's to avi (xvid + mp3 = playable) .

    Conversion process depend's on a number of factor's .

    Pc speed
    How long are they
    The video format size
    Audio combined

    wmv can contain a few variable's , a 90mb wmv created by ulead video studio , converted by super on amd2400xp take's about between 6 to 8 minute's .

It really depend's on how much information was packed into it ... then of course you can run into those rubbish type's which are multiple file's joined by useless product's .

If you come across one of these , it could be a very long time as the encoder has to try and fight broken frame's and determine how best to encode ... if it can at all .

Of course it could also be from an online source that has digital media right's protection ... dont even try them ... super will keep going and going ....

Check the guide's section on rm conversion's ... I think baldrick mentioned avisynth script that allow's vdub to open rm's , provided specific program's are installed like real media player .

Thanks for the reply. So Does the Divx DVD player only play avi files ?? Nothing else other than DVD themselves ??

It plays Divx files (the name is a bit of a give away) and other mpeg4 variants such as Xvid. It varies from player to player exactly what they will play, and some will play WMA and WMV files, but most don't.
