I just noticed this. Apparently, GoDaddy (a registrar service) ran an ad during the Super Bowl. According to a poll taken, 3% of all men and 12.7% of all women found the ad offensive (grin). But according to the blog of GoDaddy's CEO/Founder, Bob Parsons, it generated a whole bunch of hits to the website (and certainly some business, too).
Anyhoo, they actually made two ads. One of them showed up on TV. The other one was a bit longer (but no naughty bits) and, in theory, explains how the ad was accepted (grin - probably not). If you want to see this un-aired ad, here's the location (it's a Flash video - broadband required):

I don't think it was a matter of censorship. The ad linked to above was not an "unedited" version but a totally different ad. In fact, the longer ad didn't even have the men debating each other at first. I suspect the decision was merely an either/or decision ... and that they just chose to run the shorter (and cheaper) ad.Originally Posted by hech54
