    Hi all, i purchased the pioneer DVR-633H-S two months ago, love it so far ! but i have a question, when i record something and wants to watch it on another dvd player (my laptop and a friend's dvd player) i can't. MY laptop do not see anyting when i explore the cd and my friend's dvd player ejects it without reading it. Is there a reason ??

    Record in VIDEO MODE not VR mode. If the disc has something on it you want to backup, use DVD Shrink to edit and DVD Decrypter to burn.

    And if your burner has booksetting use DVD+R media and that will play on all players.

    You might have better luck with another brand of disc. However, there is no recordable disc that is 100% compatible with every existing DVD player and computer drive. Furthermore there is no DVD player that will play EVERY DVD.

    You may well be right ..but.. I haven't found or heard of a DVD player that could not play a DVD ROM disc, not even in the early DVD ROMs in notepads.

    If booktype is available on his burner the end result is a disc formatted DVD ROM.

    To the best of my knowledge all commercial DVDs are formatted DVD ROM.
