the other week i stumbled across a copy of my old conversion guides on my hdd. 3 years ago i purchased my first dvd burner & never looked back. i forgot all about svcd & have lost touch with how the tools & methods have progressed since that time. from my brief look around this site my guides are woefully out of date now & probably obsolete; however, rather than scrapping them completely i thought the guides might still be useful as a teaching reference. despite the lack of practical application now, the guides still have some good solid info in them. in any case i spent a little time cleaning up the pages & hosting them at the following urls:
http://members.cox.net/oehrli2/dvd.html
http://members.cox.net/oehrli2/vhs.html
http://members.cox.net/oehrli2/vhspal.html
http://members.cox.net/oehrli2/sub.html
this is the final archive so they'll be no further updates or corrections to the pages (unless someone wants to submit revisions to bring the guides up-to-date with current tools). also i tried to get the pages listed in the guides section of this site, but for some reason my requests were refused

Moving this to the User Guides forum.

The background is a bit annoying.
And i rather not add very old guides to the guides section. -
