I have been using this user guide to try and get some of my anime files converted.
    http://www.ez-tutorials.com/EZtuts/DVD-Guides/Converting/How-To-Create-Your-Own-Anime-DVD/index.php
I have all *.ogm files. I can go through all the steps until I get to the encoding part. When I click to start output, I get error message "Divide by Zero". I have no idea why I am getting this error.

I am using TMPGEnv 3.0 XPress Trial version for my encoding and used VirtualDubMod to extract video, audio and subtitles. My video is in .avi, Audio is in .ogg and my subtitles are in .srt .

The individual files work fine but I cannot find away to get them together.
I have tried many ways to fix this and I keep coming up empty.

I have looked at some of the other user guides and can't find a answer to this question.

    Thank you!

I would extract the audio as an uncompressed wav file because it is the simplest for tmpgenc to work with and rules .ogg out as the problem.
    Read my blog here.

  3. yea, probably best to stay to "regular" standard audio when encoding stuff to dvd....my guess is that's probably whats causing it to choke, ive done some similar conversions a while back and had some problems, too.....

Okay... I saved the audio in .wav format. I had to manually save the audio as .wav because VituralDub would not let me save a .wav because it said that my audio was a Vorbis Stream. But it still did not work.

I am soo clueless to what I am doing wrong. I am sorry

VirtualDub or VirtualDubMod? Probably you did not select Full processing for audio (right click on the stream). You need to do that otherwise it will output not a true uncompressed wav.
    What means "manually"?

Hmmm, I read the guide. If you encode everything as the guide describes, you should be OK. Where, in which step of the guide you have problems?
Well, there are at least 3 encoding parts.

I don't think you can get an audio.wav directly from an ogg source audio in VirutalDubMod.

I would try the Demux option to get an audio.ogg, then would convert it to anything else with dBPoweramp, for instance, or Goldwave.

    Cheers

What I meant with "manually" was, in the save box I went down to and changed *.ogg to all files and typed in *.wav at the end of my file name.

I get all the way to theend of section 3 of Part 3. This is where the actually encoding of the video happens. This is where I am getting the divide by zero error.

    I am really at lost.

    Soixante-
I have no idea if downloading that codec will solve my problems.
All I can do is try and see.

Actually you only renamed the extension. So your file is still vorbis sound (to clear the confusion vorbis audio carry the extension .ogg). You can try to convert it to wav with BeLight with BeSweet. Or better maybe to follow the guide and to encode with foobar2000 and BeSweetGui.
I have this error once before (it was long time ago), but I don't remmember how it appear. Anyway I think it is connected with some weird resolution of the source video. Or it was with motion search precision. BTW there is Highest quality. I do not recommend to use it. High quality is enough.
Well, from the moment I switched to use avisynth frameserving with TMPG this error doesn't show anymore.

I have a question for you. When I open the *.ogm in VirtualDubMod should my file show up in in the input window?

the reason I ask because the file in question does not show up in the input window. So that may be my problem. So if this is my problem what can do fix this?
