Hi Everyone,
I recently began using the ADS Instant DVD for Mac to transfer VHS tapes through the ADS box and CaptyDVD to author a final DVD. I captured a one-hour, non-copy protected TV show from VHS and authored a DVD. To my surprise, the final DVD has lots of static-sounding "noise" that seemed to originate from the bottom bar of the screen. I understand that it is normal to see this bottom "border" when capturing from VHS, but I don't understand the loud noise. Plus, the source VHS tape did not have any tracking issues while playing on my TV. I am puzzled about this "noise," which is nearly as loud as the sound of the TV show in the capture. My question is how do I remove this noise when the tracking on the VHS tape seems okay? I also use a Time Base Corrector (AVT 8710) between the ADS box and the VCR. Thanks in advance for your comments.
