    I would like to edit wmv or avi files and convert them to wmv. Would Adobe Premiere be the program of choice for this? The only effects I want are fade in and out, adding logos and titles. Is there a simple program for this? I tried Blaze Media Pro but the quality was really poor.

    I think Windows Movie Maker would do this for free. You may already have it in your OS.

    Yeah windows movie maker can do titles and stuff and output to wmv. Though you can only use it on Windows 2000 and newer.
