I am having a strange problem during VHS capture. I get through about 2/3 or so of the tape, and I get the following problem (view picture below)
I am using rather cheap stuff for the cap. A Sears VCR w 19micron heads (4 of them apparently)
An OPTEX sinal booster to remove Macrovision.
Leadtek WINFAST TVTUNER Expert
Ulead VideoStudio 7 SE for to captrue with.
I have been using this setup for a few years and have never experienced this before. In fact, i captured this exact same VHS before and didn't get this result. I tried cleaning the heads on the VCR, but it only worked for a bit. The odd thing is, NONE of this shows up on the TV that is hooked up to the VCR. Does this tape need TBC or something else. Maybe the stabilizer unit is no longer working?

Brand new Duracell batteries, taken out of the box the day of the capture. I am going to try a different tape and see how that works.
I am thinking of getting another stabilizer type unit, JVC JX C7 (I think that is the correct coding) This unit does color enhancements and seems to have some boosting properties. Does anyone know if it will also do Macrovision? This would help me decide for sure.
Thanks
