When playing an avi with Media Player Classic no subtitles are shown.
I copied vsfilter.dll to system32 and registered it with "regsrv32 vsfilter.dll". The avi and the ssa-subtitltes have the same name (except extension of course) and are in the same directory. But no subs are shown. Is there anything else needed to be done?
Vobsub did work.

try the vsfilter installer from http://www.inmatrix.com/zplayer/formats/vsfilter.shtml

Now it works. Because I thought it was funny since all the installer does is copying registering the dll, I uninstalled it and manually reregistered the dll and it works. No idea why it didn't work in the first place... thanks anyway.
