Correct me if i am mistaken

the laser to read a CD is different to the laser that reads a DVD

so is there 2 lasers in a DVD player ?

Sifaga - my favorite similar question is - How do I get my CD audio player to play VCDs? I used to see this question all the time in another forum from guys from India. Even if such a modification is possible, I have to think it would cost more than just buying a VCD player.

  7. Some DVD players have 2 lasers, most don't. The beam focus and width are just changed.
