I've tried doing this with 3 different softwares and the problem is standing still.
    Please your help...

    P.S.

Many DVDs have a delay specified between the audio and video. Usually this is preserved during the demux process, but in you case it seems it wasn't. I don't know what software you are using or have used, so I don't know if you have something that will allow you adjust the delay when authoring.

They do the demuxing - what do you use to author the streams back together again - this is where you need to fix the delay

DVD Lab Pro has a delay feature. The time is in milliseconds, and can be + or - depending on which way you need to shift the video.

    with a stopwatch, counting cats and dogs, measuring a piece of string . . . . . .

Find a key point in the film and measure the difference when the sound should have come, and when it di come. Convert to milliseconds (1000 milliseconds equals 1 second) and then trial and error.

I have found 500 milliseconds to be a pretty common delay.

You have to authoring first - DLP does not have audio and video preview.

I haven't used this tool, and it's been around a while with no comments added, but syncview *might* be able to help you at least get the correct delay.

I checked several DVDs with VirtualDubMpeg2 and found that each VOB in each movie had different delays. You would think all VOBs in the same movie would have the same delay but they do not.

To check the dalay, load each original VOB in VirtualDubMpeg2 and check the File Information/Audio Skew.

    Hope this helps,

    Chas

Ignore the VOBs. All you can correct are the videos during authoring. A VOB might contain only part of a larger video, or it might contain multiple videos. Trying to work within the VOB is pointless unless you understand exactly what is in it.

  15. You can use mpeg2schnitt or cuttermaran with the demultiplexed video + audio. There you can 'test' (and set) the delay with the preview (incl. audio!) functions.

Try ripping the DVD with DVDDecrypter using ifo mode, select "enable stream processing" and demultiplex video + audio. DVDDecrypter gives you the exact audio delay value and you can fix the delay with AC3delaycorrector (given your audio is in ac3 format)
