    Hi there

I've just downloaded and installed TMPGenc Express Trial to see how it differs from TMPGenc 2.5.
It installed fine and validated (using the internet) and opens normally.
Following all the steps to Encode when I click on Start encoding I receive a message saying the output directory is low on space.
It's on a seperate HDD with nearly 40GB of free space. Searched the Pegasys site for FAQ's pertaining to the "error message" and had no luck.

    Anyone encountered this?

    Cheers

EDIT: I just checked properly using Disk Management in XP and it's more like 23Gb not 40Gb as I posted.

I think the problem lies in there not being enough space for the temporary files. Click on Options, then Preferences, then change the location that TMPGenc Express places those temp files.

    EpoxPro,

Since you didn't post the exact error message, I think you should check both the 'Output File' and 'Temp. File' settings in the Preferences panel ('Option' - 'Preferences...', 'Pref. 1' tab). Make sure they both are set to point to a drive that has ample disc space.

What's 'ample'??? I usually keep approx 20GB's free on the drive I use for encoding, and sometimes that seems insufficient.

    Good luck!

    Abond,
epoxpro stated that he had 23 gig free on the other drive, not his system drive. By default, tmpgenc express places those temporary files on drive C and he may very well not have enough space available on that drive.
