  1. ok, heres my situation. i have a region 2 dvd. i currently play it on my ps2 with action replay (action replay allows you to play any region dvd in the ps2). i want to either burn a copy to region 1 or rip it onto my computer so i can do the same. my gigapocket won't record it because its copywritten. my dvd burner won't copy it (i assume because its region 2). i had the ps2 go into my vcr so i could make a vhs tape of it, but the picture was all warped. i just want to be able to burn a copy that will play in a real dvd player and i want it on my computer so i can make an mp3 of it (its a concert dvd). help!

  2. Decrypt it on to your PC's hard disc with something like DVD Decrypter, DVDFab etc. This will remove the region coding.

Burn onto a blank disc (re-encoding or further compressing if necessary with DVD Shrink, DVD2ONE etc) in its region free form if required. Job done.

Rip it with DVD Decrypter as mentioned.

If you want to playable on your standalong dvd player, ensure it is capable of playing PAL (Region 2 is PAL) whearas a Region 1 player is NTSC.
