  1. i downloaded dvd shrink the latest version and whenever i get to the backup part in closes down. i tried redownloading from the site and re-installing 3 times nothing restarted the computer nothing helps it does it whether i read from the hd or the dvd.

    second question i have a panasonic dvd recorder about 18 months old and want a bigger hard drive on it( 18 hrs on fine) can this be done i don't want to buy a new one as they are comong out with a high definition dvd players soon so i figure recorders will be right on there backs

    The shrink problem is probably related to Arccos copy protection. Use the latest DVD Feb Decrypter to rip to your hard drive, then FixVTS to make sure Shrink can load it. Keep DVD Fab Decrypter updated frequently.

    Search the DVD Recorder section for any info on your recorder and upgrade possibilities.

    DVDShrink has stopped development and hasn't been updated for about 18 months or so now, so "latest version" doesn't really mean much with things like ARCCOS and other such methods.
    If in doubt, Google it.
