  1. What is the best encoder to use to convert avi to dvd compatible mpeg2 format? Can give me like the top 3 encoders for speed and the top 3 for quality?

    Generally convert alot of anime with some homevideos or movies ocassionally

    PC : Amd 64 3200+
    1 GB ram
    200 gb sata hardisk

  2. ok ok. I know this will happen and I did say best in quality(render difficult scenes well and such) and another 3 that is best in speed. I know this may be different for different pc
    ( intel,amd and such ) especially where speed is concerned. Just want to know people 's recommendations alright?

    And thanks for the link. But being a newbie I do not really know what to look out for when viewing the pictures.(except that even I can see mainconcept suck) . So the best in quality from test is procoder or CCE?

    What type of avi ?

    If you mean Divx/Xvid then you don't really need the best, just competent. The source doesn't warrant the cost of the best.
