Ok, I seem to be unable to open any files at all in TMPGENC express. And I think its because of my codecs. Can someone please suggest a codec pack for me to install which should get tmpgenc working again? I reformatted a while ago, and I had it working but now I thin i need to reinstall codecs and what not

Generally, installing whole codec packs is a bad idea. They sometimes install old codecs, corrupted codecs, codecs that interfere with each other to the point of messing up your whole system. If you do a forum search for 'codec packs' you will see many problems resulting from their installation.
The better method is to use a program like Gspot on a unknown video and it will tell you the codec needed. They you install just that one. This will avoid conflicts.
90% or more of necessary codecs needed for video are listed to the left in 'Tools'. The less codecs you install, the better. Having many installed codecs is not a good thing. -
