AnyDVD & DVDFab -Both?

I'm inclined to buy one of the two. Is decryption the same for both products, or would it be better to stay with DVDFab free & Shrink?

What are the differences between AnyDVD & Fab or do both work equally?

I can't see paying for two, so what's the best route and why?

I only use DVDFab Decrypter (free) for the newer protections on dvd's from the last few months or so. For all others i still use DVD Decrypter most of the time with dvd shrink.

Ok, I Fopared -Meant DVDFab Decrypter, but the question remains! That's the point of the post, the difference between the two in question & why pay for both? Which one & why?

Why when you can use a ripper (DVDFab Decrypter) to rip a dvd to your HDD which removes all the protection's, which is basically what anydvd does so you can just open dvd's in shrink or still use DVD Decrypter which will not rip some of the newer protected dvd's with sony arcoss or macrovisions ripgaurd, or W.E. other program's people want to use to B.U.

Like when i see people stating, i B.U.ed this dvd with just shrink and anydvd running in the background, when shrink alone will open the disc by itself because it does not even have any protections on it that shrink wont strip

why pay for both?

You dont need to pay for both, only AnyDVD. DVDFab Decrypter is freeware, hence a free software. AnyDVD will cost though.

The difference I see is that AnyDVD works in the backgroud so can be used in conjuction with any software like dvd shrink, other transoders without ripping abilities, and even a copy on the fly using a burning application. It makes the dvd appear region free and unencrypted for any software you use.

AnyDVD has other uses, such as stopping some of the music CD protection as well, and aiding playback if you use your PC for viewing. DVD Fab Decrypter does one thing and one thing only.

Personal choice - AnyDVD and DVD Decrypter. You get the encryption beating power of anyDVD, and the ripping power of the best ripper yet written.

Thanks for the comments, I would have simply assumed that as there are bought versions of DVDFab Decrypter, it would stand that there is some added bonus to buying it, I have not spent the time going over it yet -But, with a free & two additional level upgrade sale items, one must assume the free version has not exactely had the heart & soul placed into it that DVD Decryptor did, seems reasonable to me.

So, add to the mix AnyDVD, another bought progo, one would then consider something is essentially missing -On the free side.

Does that make sense?

there is benefit to anydvd. as said, it works on some cd protects. its useful just for playback, as it removes PUOs, it allows simply 'drag & drop' backups. run it with any software to backup. basically makes the dvd act like a regular old data disc. i absolutely loved it for 30 days!
