  1. This is THE cheapest I've found for blank DVD-R. They also offer new double-sided (9.4 GB total) DVD-R. It seems too cheap to be believable. If anyone has any info on this company's products, please post. Thanks!

  2. That site is legit and I ordered some blank DVDs from them. The disc record and play fine in my APEX-703. I use them to archive the files off my TiVo. I also just ordered 100 more and a few double sided disc to try them out.

  3. MPauley - just curious, do you have Tivonet set up? I haven't looked into it in the last 6 months or so and am wondering if there have been any changes in that area - is Tivonet still required to pull files off the Tivo or can it be done as in the Replay by pulling the drive connecting it to PC. Thanks.

  5. I posted about this company about 2 weeks ago...

The thread went crazy with a few morons saying that I owned this company and was spamming this site..

Anywho..I've ordered from this company, and the media seems to be good quality.

DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW are different media types and somewhat incompatible with each other. Search for "DVD FAQ" with Google and read the relevant section. It describes each quite well.

  10. There is (supposed to be) DVD+R media along with the DVD+RW media. Not to be confused with DVD-R, of course. Isn't it great that we have to be on the lookout for "+" vs "-"'s because a bunch of companies can't get along...

Anyone know if i can order from this site in Sweden? and how much is the shiping and stuff?

  12. I just ordered 5 single-sided DVD-Rs. The postage was $9 in the US. That IS a bit steep, considering it probably costs them no more than $2 to send them. So I would imagine any shipments overseas (i.e. Sverige) would be fairly high. I am also curious if you can record on these 2-sided DVD-Rs with the Pioneer A03. Anyone?

  13. Was gonna order some of the double sided for 4.95 each, but after going through the order form for 60 discs, found the shipping to Canada was 117.00 U.S!!!! and that is with there 25% reduction with UPS

  14. Just ordered two of the double-sided DVD-Rs and STILL the postage was $9. While these double-sided versions don't seem to be available anywhere else (yet), it looks as though you can find slightly cheaper DVD-Rs after factoring in the shipping costs.

  15. I ordered a hundred of these 2.95 discs a couple of days ago and they "http://www.cd-recordable.com/" shipped them overnight free. Haven't burned them yet; waiting for the Pioneer. The company was also quick to answer my emails. They can be phoned, have an excellent return policy and the discs are made in the USA. No middleman!! No Taiwan discs.

You CANNOT burn DVD-R's on the DVD+R/RW recorders. Also, according to ZDnets report, the DVD-R's were more compatible with players then the DVD+R/RW. Do your homework before deciding on the DVD-R/RW or the DVD+R/RW!!!!
