  1. Anyone seen this player? Does it support portable hard drive?

    From what I can gather it can play video files from a external hard drive. It has enough power for a small HD, but a larger 3.5" drive seems to need an external supply. Some reviews report that the USB port for the OTG is USB 1.1 speed. But this may have been changed to USB 2.0 in later models, which would be a lot better. The hard drive needs to be formated as FAT32 to work properly.

    OTG is a new USB specification. For those of us that have never heard of it, take a look at the USB.org site for more info:

  3. I just received my player. I tested it with my external 2.5" USB hard drive. The player can read divx files from the hard drive without problem. The USB port has enough power for the hard drive. So there is no AC adapter required for the hard drive. I have not test it with a 3.5" hard drive since I don't have one. I'll try to borrow one so I can test it.

  4. I liked RJ stuff, but people found it not very reliable. The RJ website is like 2 pages. If it was built better I might consider it.
