Usb problems

Hello everybody
I have a strange problem.After I've reinstalled windows xp on my computer I have some weird problem when I disconnect any usb from my computer. When I disconnect any USB, the computer gets into stand by mode and I don't know why.
Can anybody tell me why?

got my own usb troubles, when i connect a device computer will sometime reboot.

what do you think it's the start of this problem? because last day with the old operating system everything was ok, but know after I've reinstalled the operating system the usb started to go crazy.
