  2. Is it just that one file that is giving you a problem? If so it's probably just a bad file. How big is the file?

  5. Same file(s) on dvd plays fine?
What are the specs of your drive.. maybe powersaving kicking in?
How did you format Wd mybook ? (fats32, fat16) using what program?
    How is the file created?
Have your parents set 104mins as your maximum view time then you have to go to bed? (joke)
My parents let me stay up and watch any length.
I would send it back and get the counter replaced!

  6. Weird. If you fast forward through them can you get past 104 minutes? Do the same files play all the way to the end on DVD? I haven't had any problems on my DVP-5960 -- though I've only used flash drives via USB.

    never tried dvd

have 3yr and 1yr old sons who love to scratch discs so it would defeat the purpose that i bought the player for
WD MYBOOK is fat32 out of the box as far as power saving it just goes to the next file in the directory and auto plays i used a program called avi joiner on the files that were split as two cds note i have never ripped my own disc as i wanted the copy to hold quality

is there anything that i can look for in that joining program
