Hi,
I'm simply trying to cut short one of the VOB, so I used Chopper XP, and then IfoEdit to rebuild the IFO file, then burn the whole VIDEO_TS directory onto a new DVD using Nero.
It didn't work, wonder what I did wrong. Is this the right/simplest approach??
I have on VIDEO_TS dir
VIDEO_TS.BUP
VIDEO_TS.IFO
VIDEO_TS.VOB
VTS_01_0.BUP
VTS_01_0.IFO
VTS_01_1.VOB
VTS_01_2.VOB
VTS_01_3.VOB
VTS_01_4.VOB
VTS_01_5.VOB
VTS_02_0.BUP
VTS_02_0.IFO
VTS_02_1.VOB
VTS_02_2.VOB
I cut short VTS_01_1.VOB and used IFOEdit to rebuild VTS_01_1.IFO.
IFOEdit also create a VIDEO_TS.IFO for me, should I replace the original VIDEO_TS.IFO, or should I just discard what IFOEdit did?
Do I need to touch VTS_02_0.IFO at all?
Thanks!

You need to use something that can make the edit while preserving the structure, not just simply chop a bit off a file. I would look at something like PGCEdit or VOBBlanker.
