    i have AVI file that i donwload from web and i try to burn to vcd using nero, but the nero appear an error said that the AVI file format that i used is not compatible with nero. but i can play the file on my computer using jet audio or media player.

    i'm confused, why it is not suitable. but the other AVI file format is suit with nero.

    is it i need to update or change my nero to higher version?

    The AVI format is a container. It can be many types of video, some likely incompatible with Nero. Download a copy of Gspot and it will identify what your AVI is. Then look to the left for 'CONVERT' to see what is needed to convert the video to a VCD format. <<<< Also look to the top left under 'What is' VCD to see the structure of the VCD format. <<<<

    Just to add, there are better ways to convert to VCD than using Nero. TMPGEnc encoder is free for MPEG-1 (VCD) conversion. VCDEasy is a authoring program (Payware) for VCD that is popular and easy to use.
