    damn having more errors with these avi's, i have 2 avi's again but can't join them due to audio bitrates been different have tried virtualdub and virtualdub mod have even installed lame mp3 to convert audio to cbr but got lost doing that, can someone help me again please.

    Why are you joining them? If you're ultimately going to create a DVD, just encode each AVI to DVD specs mpg and author with TDA as 2 parts of the same title.

    no what i'm doing is putting around 4 movies on 1 dvd, xvid/divx

    Still no need to join them. You can logically link them on the DVD using the DVD playback control (or whatever it's actually called) during the authoring stage.

    virtualdub
    open first video
    video->direct stream copy
    audio->full processing (convert audio to uncompressed wav)
    save->avi

    open second video
    video->direct stream copy
    audio->full processing (convert audio to uncompressed wav)
    save->avi

    open first new avi
    append second new avi
    video->direct stream copy
    audio->full processing
    audio->compression and select mp3


    or some other mix of that...

    sorry does that mean i'm saving the audio as wav or saving as avi
