720p WMV to HD DivX or XviD.... (Conversion)

Happy New Year folks...blessings to you all!

My question is simple... I have a few 720p WMV files (1280x720) on my pc that I'd like to convert to DIVX/XVID, retaining the HD resolution as best as possible...

I have tried Advanced Video Converter but it freezes up at 98% on all the WMV files... mind you, these files are NOT "signed". They are from the XBOX 360 Kiosk Disc and I copied them to my PC. They play perfectly in WMP....

Is there a software available that can convert from 720p HD-WMV to HD-DivX?
