Hi all,
I bumped into a wedding videographer over christmas and got talking all things 'tech' and he invited me to his studio today. Well, to cut a long story short this guy had some serious gear in multiple racks all over the place and I couldnt help noticing a vcr deck with all kinds of knobs and buttons on it. It appeared unbranded and when I asked he said it was actually a friends machine who works for a tv company and the unit was handed down by his boss for video tape restoration.
He told me its not used much anymore but from what he remembers it helps correct all the usual things plus tape stretch, speed, adjustable audio delay (both ways) variable tbc ??, dnr, proc amp, detailer, stabiliser and a load of stuff i have never heard of !
I asked him if he would consider selling it and then the conversation went dead and I felt like i was no longer welcome![]()
So my question is this - as this deck looked like nothing mentioned on this forum and appeared to have way more control and functionality than my jvc digi pure i am now wondering if you guys have ever used one or have one ?
Mick

You'll Pro Vcr on Ebay JVC and Panny. Its heavy as hell. But for the money the JVC 78xx-99xx and Panasonic 1970, 1980 beat it head up. Picture quality and clarity. Many Gatches does mean its any good.
