I'm new to this DVD stuff, although I have been making copies of movies from my DirecTV using a Panasonic DMR-ES10 recorder. I'm trying to move many of my home VHS recordings to DVD. It's easier to copy to DVD-RAM than DVD-R (i.e. to make chapters etc.) I can take the DVD-RAM to my PC's DVD drive (LG GSA-4163B) and edit them, but I can't move them to a DVD-R, only to another DVD-RAM. I need DVD-R so that I can give my kids copies to watch on their DVD which do not support DVD-RAM.

Any recomanditions on a software package to do this?

    Thanks!

Copy the VRO file from you DVD-RAM to your hard disk. Use Womble MPEG-VCR to edit and TDA to author your DVD. Use any DVD recording software e.g. Nere or RecordNow to burn it to DVD-R.
