    how can i rip the introduction of a dvd? it's not included in the first chapter..

    I'd find out what VTS or Title it uses by playing in IFOEdit's inbuilt player. Then use DVD Decrypter in IFO Mode to pick it up.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    FWIW, I've sometimes had prob. with the intro -- for some reason it's just odd or out of spec encoding. And just mentioning that if you're the *lucky* one this time. :P IOW, if it don't work the way it should, don't blame the kind folks who've posted replies, but take the hit and repair, re-encode or...
