  1. Hi,

I want to make a quick 20-30 second intro video for my DVD. Something with just a jpg with sound and maybe a few special effects. What is a good program to do this with?

    Thanks,

It depends on what special effects. WAX2 is free and create the video. Audio can then be added later in virtualdubmod. All this is free. Jashaka is another free effects package you might look at.

  3. PgcEdit has feature of adding intro video to authored DVD.
    Cann't tell it's possible don't tell anything.

True, but PGCEdit won't make the video. I believe the OP is still at the 'how do I make it' stage.

  5. Is this something I can use Pinnacle to do? I have a copy of that, it came with my DV camera. Never used it before but I figured I may as well install it anyway.

Just about any video authoring tool will do. It just depends on what you want it to look like.

For reallysimple stuff... just use DVD Slideshow GUI and your JPGs.

Of course, it's more fun to make something complex. I used EditStudio and a bunch of its plugins to create my intro leader because I wanted a logo over a video and I wanted it to "ripple" in.
