    I have a liteon DVD setup recorder, lvw-5007. When I record and then want to transfer to my PC , the DVD_VR folder is close to 8 gigabytes if the disk is full. I don't understand how this can be with the disk is only a 4.7GB disk ?

    This is causing problems in converting the disk to other formats.

    Is this how DVD_VR works? Can anyone explain?

    DVD recorders often have duplicate entries for various files. The files are only on the disc once, but have multiple references, and it confuses some computers into seeing more than there really is.

    What's the best software for dealing with this? as in editing. Usually it lists 8 1gb files and nothing can handle it.
