Hi all,
I got a XVID movie (don't ask where it's from)
It's in 2 parts, CD1 & CD2 both around 700MB,
And i want to take the audio from both those CD's and put it together
and use it on a DVD. Because the DVD has better picture and the xvid got better audio.
I just added the movie in Virtual Dub and get this "error"
So i just Saved the 2 wav's with full processing mode and they are both nearly 1 GB, do i need to use a constant bitrate encoder? or should i just save them as direct stream copy instead? What should i do? And how do i join these 2 wav files? *I know how i do the other stuff with DVD lab pro* please help me dear videohelpers! And happy newyear btw![]()

Joining audio always entails some risk that you may get sync problems from the join point onwards. You have been warned.
I would join the two wavs into a single wav file using an audio editor (the freeware audicity will do the job), then encode it as 2 channel AC3 at 224kbps using ffmpeggui. Use this in DVD Lab Pro as you audio.
Yes, the uncompressed audio sounds about right in size. The AC3 will be a lot smaller.
Good luck. I am attempting somthing similar as we speak, although I have two 5.1 AC3 tracks to join.Read my blog here.
