  1. Hi guys,

I've got a divx avi file which I want to convert to a VCD. I'm having some problems...it's just not happening no matter what I do.

I've converted the file using all sorts of different methods including extracting the audio with toolame and virtualdub but when I come to burn the cd's using Nero 5.5.5.1 it always complains that the stream encoding isn't compliant...what am I doing wrong??

To convert I'm using TMPGEnc, with vcd templates. Any help would be great.

    Cheers!!

Maybe you're not doing anything wrong. Does the burned VCD play in your player? Can you open the file in Vdub after you have it processed to VCD? If yes, what does the file information tell you ie. is it really VCD standard size and bitrate? If it appears to be, try demuxing and remuxing with TMPGEnc again using the MPEG-1 Video CD setting.
