They corrupt the video files, I don't know why, I get about 30 seconds in, or jump anywhere in the DVD file, It just corrupts, and the player crashes, along with explorer.exe. . . . ..

I've used MKVextractGUI, the MKVExtract Wizard, and Virtualdubmod. So, any idea's ladies?

I meant what streams? So say an XviD VfW to an avi or a native AVC to a raw .264 stream, etc.

Generally media files crashing explorer is caused by MS's buggy thumbnail shell extension (shmedia.dll).

Just because ot causes explorer to crash doesn't mean it is corrupt. The number of people who experience crashes because of MS' thumbnail shell extension.

You don't need to get rid of the dll. Try "regsvr32.exe /u shmedia.dll". If it doesn't help "regsvr32.exe shmedia.dll" to set things back.

You might also want to update your XviD build.
