Nero 5.5.6.4

I can not seem to burn a cd that I can play on my DVD player. With this version. Is this this version, should I go back toa older version. Has any one seen this diff with the versions.

5.5.6.4 has been working great for me, no problems at all. How are you burning it?

Just a reminder for Sandie1939, does your DVD player supports CD-R/CD-RW media? Make sure it does supports otherwise, you're wasting your time. Jordan

Not sure what you are refering to when you ask " How am I burning it" ------> Newbie
Yes my DVD does support the VCDs. I have many I burned with older version. I used Sony CD extreme and it worked fine.

Are you able to detail about your problem? Its very hard to know what is wrong with lack of information. Plus, include the steps you took to burn. Jordan

Well first I choose Video-cd , Vidio cd tab I have checked Create Standard,Use cd-i-app.ISO tab = iso level 1 ,allow path etc and allow more etc are checked. misc tab Cache Disk and Cache files are checked and 64 kb. Burn tab write and Finalize are checked. 4x(600kb/s) disc-At-Large . I then click new. Slide the movie over and then got to file and choose write cd. It will go through the process with no problem but allways fails.

I don't know why you have to set your own settings. All the settings are default in my Nero. Plus, your settings are different from mines. Here we go...ISO tab, ISO Level 2), ISO 9660, Allow path and allow more are the ones that should be check only. Misc tab, only Cache Disk is check and 64 kb. Last, Burn tab, write, finalize and DAO (Disc-At-Once) are check.

In your reply, you wrote, Disc-At-Large. It should be DAO. Did you make a mistake? Or its really that your Nero says Disc-At-Large. Hope this may help. Jordan

Sandie, I'm having a similar problem. I just updated to a P4 1.4 GH, my old system worked well with Nero 5.5, but now all I get is failures. I backed up to v5.0 and was able to burn good VCD's, so it might have something to do with your system.

Twice now I've installed Nero 5.5.6.4 and on both occasions I'm getting "Disk at Once" errors. Going back to 5.5.5.1 solves my problems. For now I will stick with this as it works fine for me and I'll look at later releases of Nero when they become available.
