Hi everyone,
I'm just looking for a easy DVD burining program. What I'm looking for is, I just want to put the files (videos) (they may be mpeg, avi, etc.) and it would make a easy auto menu (nothing special) and convert the files to be burned on a dvd-r. No messing around with menu changes, adding this or that, etc. Just something easy and fast.
Is there such a program?
Thank you,
Craig

i think nero makes hold-your-hand software.. i think its called nero recode or something like that.. it takes a while though, unless you're using dvd spec mpegs..

Ulead DVD MovieFactory is simple, gives reasonable quality and is cheap. It can do everything from capture through to burn and will accept most types of file. You can download a 30 day free trial from www.ulead.com

For more tools click on Tools and All-In-One DVD Converters, many supports menus also.

When you look at the tools as Baldrick suggested there are a number of simple one's. When I started out I got a free copy of NEODVD with my hardware and it's as easy as 1,2,3 for making DVD from avi or mpeg source. It will even burn it to disc on the fly as it converts if that is what you want. Unfortunately there is no more free version available but last time I checked they did offer a fully working time limited trial version.
I'm not saying it's the best mpeg encoder around but it does a good job. I sometimes use it for on the fly capture of tv shows with direct to disc conversion to dvd. Thirty seconds or so after the capture the DVD is ready to play. Like all one click (or so) software it's got it's faults but it's got it's use in my toolbox of programs. -

Ok, thanks, but i wasnt really asking anything there, i see people are so easy to jump to that comclusion though. I was only stating i was in the same boat and it gets fustrating at times. Also i tried that program, nero encode, as someone suggested but mp4 wasnt reconized by my dvd play. Just givin he a heads up to be aware of. Sorry for the thread jacking..... -

After you read up a bit and do some site searches, don't be shy to ask questions though we all started somewhere.
@craigwojo
I should add that for my home videos I don't use NEODVD or other 1 click type software. While it's more work to use a separate encoder and an authoring program, the superior results are well worth it for my treasured videos
