Hi guys i have a downloaded file which looks exactly the same as a file that has been split into many rar files.
The problem is that the filenames are different and wont extract with winrar. An example of one of these files is
xpdvd-xxx(filename)xxxx-ntsc-dvdr-001
I have never come across this one before, any help would be greatly apprecited.![]()

I've also seen .rar files numbered that way. You might make a copy of one and rename the extension to .rar and see what happens. Safer than working with the originals.
BTW, you do have 'Hide extensions for known file types' turned off in Folder Options? -
are you sure you have the latest version or RAR or WinRAR?
