  1. Is there something on the Mac that does joining better than QuickTime Pro? If QT has the Edit options greyed-out, then it's ano go(damn Windows Media Player).

    Any ideas?

    Have you tried Flip4Mac's WMV Studio?
    Have you tried converting the wma through ffmpegx?

    just off the top of my head.

  3. Never heard of Flip4Mac, and I thought ffmpegx only did MPEG? I can join MPEGs with QT.

    No, ffmpegx can also process AUDIO too.
    I have used it to process WMA audio encoded with
    Windows Media 8 and 9 before.
    Check out this thread in the ffmpegx forum one level down.
    here is Flip4Mac's website.
    It also can handle WMA 8 and 9 encoded files.

    Unfortunately only a PC friend with Windows Media Player 10
    can help at this point.
    The DRM that M$ built into the series 10 codec is the bane
    of all.
