    Hi,

Sorry this may seem a silly Question but i just wanted to ask this before i go ahead and buy a standalone player that will play xvid.

Do i need a special programme to burn an xvid file to CD?

The reason i ask is it currently takes me 2 hours to burn 1 VCD so i can watch it on the telly and am in the process of buying a new player that will play xvid in an aim to reduce this. Can i just burn it using my normal burner (drag and drop and it does the rest)

just wanted to check that i didn't need anything elese before i waste my money.

    Thanks.

You of course need something, but any app capable of burning data will do.

Should point out that most players only support XviD in an avi container. A raw XviD stream or XviD in mkv, ogm, mp4, nut, dsm, etc. won't do. There are also other limitations.

As long as the files are compatible with the Divx / Xvid, player, you can simply burn them as data on either CD or DVD.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

I highly recommend CD Burner XP Pro - easy to use, and very reliable (at least on my systems)
